Christmas in April is an annual, one-day project to repair homes of those who cannot do the work for themselves, due to age, disabilities, and financial hardship. The program cannot make structural repairs or take on projects that cannot be completed in one day. Applications are due November 1, 2011 for the next Christmas in April which is scheduled for April 28, 2012. The full application can be found by going to the Christmas in April website.
Volunteers (14-17 years old must have parental permission) and donations of materials or money are needed. Sign-up can be done online and permission forms are available through the website: Christmas in April * Prince George’s County.
