The Architectural Control & Compliance Committee is responsible for ensuring that the covenants are enforced. Any work on the exterior of your Montpelier home requires prior approval of the ACCC (with the exception of replacing your roof or siding in the same color). Any installation of a fence, shed, patio, gazebo, trellis, playset, arbor, greenhouse, deck, etc., or any other type of fixed structure must be approved by the ACCC prior to any work beginning. Proceeding without ACCC approval may result in sanctions which may include fines. * Approval Forms should be completed and may be mailed to the committee or presented at any monthly meeting.
Proceeding without prior approval is a covenant violation subject to enforcement, including fines.
The ACCC meets on the first Thursday of the month at the Deerfield Recreation Center at 7 PM. Members are always welcome to attend the meetings.
Michael Flowe is the 2022-2023 ACCC Chairperson. If you have questions regarding any ACCC matter, feel free to email Michael or call 202.709.6139. The ACCC has also drafted a set of Guidelines which may help homeowners understand the covenant enforcement process.
* NEW – Solar Collectors installed on the roof of your Montpelier home do not require prior approval of the ACCC provided that all required permits and State and County laws and regulations are met. The ACCC does request notification of the expected date of installation, either by email/phone/mail.
