CHAMPION TREE TOUR of Prince George’s County is back!

Take a bus tour through the autumn countryside to see the CHAMPION TREES of Prince George’s County on Saturday, October 27 from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.  All participants will receive a Willow Oak to take home and plant, and a color copybooklet of the Maryland Tree Champions.  Bring your lunch and enjoy it at a stop overlooking the Patuxent River in Jug Bay which is a treat in itself.

The tour starts at the MNCPPC Park Ranger Office, 14955 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro, MD  20714 (follow signs to the Equestrian Center) and the cost is $20.  Checks should be made out to to MD Forestry Board and Foundation and note that it is for the Prince George’s County Forestry Board.   Mail this to:   Maryland Forestry Board and Foundation, ATTN:  Steve Darcy, 5301 Marlboro Race Trace Road, #11, Upper Marlboro, MD  20772.  There is limited seating so register as soon as possible.  The deadline for registration is October 19.  Proceeds of the tour will go to the Maryland Forestry Board and Foundation.
