Nancy serves on the Prince George’s County Police Department – 6th District’s Citizen Advisory Council (CAC), and this guide was reviewed during a recent meeting about Identity theft and fraud. The CAC was established so that community members from each Sector of the District, who are nominated to serve, meet with the District Commander, their staff, and crime prevention personnel on a recurring basis to discuss emerging problems within the community, proposed crime reduction solutions, and community initiatives.
The guide is full of useful information about what steps to take if you are a victim of identity theft, fraud, or a data breach, with contact information for the credit bureaus, social security administration, and others, as well as sample letters you can send.
