Buying & Selling in Montpelier

Montpelier, Maryland

Montpelier is a neighborhood and homeowners association on the outskirts of Laurel, Maryland, a short distance from our nation’s capital. The community, built in the 1960s, is conveniently located near three major highways and easily accessible to local public transportation, a major shopping mall, and several excellent restaurants.

A volunteer Board of Trustees, elected by the full community each September, oversees the community and works to protect the investment of homeowners in their properties and in the community’s common grounds, which include a swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court, softball/soccer field and children’s playground. A low annual assessment covers the costs of maintaining these facilities and providing opportunities for all residents.

Social events throughout the year provide opportunities for neighbors to get together and be involved. From a neighborhood-wide yard sale held each spring, to our annual neighborhood meeting, to service on committees or the Board, there is a real sense of community in Montpelier.

The neighborhood includes four models of houses in the Levitt style, with mirror images giving eight different floorplans. Homes offer a variety of complimentary exterior designs, 1900 to 2800 square feet of living space, 14000-25000 square feet lots, and two or three-car garages.
